The Golfing Committee wishes to advise of a change to one of our traditional charity days. In the past, the committee has hosted a Jarrod Lyle Day and Beyond Blue Day. With the amazing support of our members, the committee has raised over $20,000 over the past 4 – 5 years for these organisations.
A unanimous decision was made at the last committee meeting to replace the Jarrod Lyle Day with a Border Cancer Centre Day, with all funds raised being passed directly on to the Border Cancer Centre. Whilst we all wished that a facility like this was not needed, unfortunately, many of us have had a loved one or friend need this facility. The committee felt that having funds stay local to support our members and families that need this facility was of utmost importance.
The event will be held on Saturday October 12th 2024. On the day, we will still encourage participants to wear the colour yellow.
At this time, we are seeking support in the form of prize donations to be used for raffles and auctions. If you have a business or would like to assist with a prize donation, please contact me via my mobile on 0400280675 or any member of the committee.
