Liv Golf…what an experience. Our very own Superintendent Dean Lewis was part of the grounds crew that made golf history with The Grange Golf Club hosting Australia’s first Liv Golf Tournament.  The Grange golf maintenance crew of 32 fulltime staff expanded to a crew of 55 with volunteers travelling from Melbourne, Sydney, Queensland and a couple of courses along the Murray River.  Dean supported in the lead up with 0430am starts and split shifts and for the tournament had the opportunity to undertake course set up on day one, bunker support on day two and stimp metre readings on the final day.
Dean had the opportunity to rub shoulders with some golfing greats including Australia’s own Cameron Smith, and Bubba Watson.  A fantastic experience to see tens of thousands of fans come out each day to watch some of the best golfers in the world come Down Under.
