Please note the following Local Rule:
Bird Damage Through the Green
There are areas of the course, particularly where the kikuyu grass has been sprayed, that have been damaged by birds. Through the green (includes the whole area of the course except all hazards and the teeing ground and putting green of the hole being played) players are entitled to relief from these areas without penalty. These areas are to be treated as an abnormal ground condition and players may take relief, without penalty, by dropping a ball within one club-length from the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole. The ball may be cleaned prior to dropping. See Rule 25-1 for full explanation and procedures.
Penalty for Breach of Local Rule: Match play– Loss of hole; Stroke play– Two strokes
