With the improved conditions of the course due to the welcomed warmer weather, there will be no more preferred lies as of the 7th of October. Therefore, the ball must be played as it lies through the green.
Under the rule 9.4b Penalty for Lifting or Deliberately Touching Ball or Causing It to Move: If the player lifts or deliberately touches their ball at rest or causes it to move, the player gets one penalty stroke each time the ball is moved.
