Division 1 Scratch played against Jubilee at Commercial Albury and went down 3/2.
It has been a valiant title defence from our Division 1 side, unfortunately just missing the final on percentage.  They have played the season with great integrity and have done us all proud with their efforts.  We could not have put a stronger team on the course this year, and I am grateful for their wonderful commitment to our club.  They have been well-led by Captain Simon Hoppe and we look forward to a big bounce-back season in 2020.  We wish President Peter Mannall a speedy recovery.
Nathan Schneider – Win 4&3
Mark Emerson – Win 3&2
Danny Mills – Loss 2 down
Peter Mannall – Retired hurt
Simon Hoppe – Loss 3&2
Division 2 Scratch played against Mansfield at Thurgoona and won 5/0.
Our Division 2 team completed an undefeated season with a strong 5-nil win over Mansfield.  We prepare now for the final at Commercial Albury on April 28.  Get out and support this team as they chase another Pennant flag for Thurgoona.  I must give huge praise to Captain Danial Huggard who selflessly stood down this week to give his team much needed match practice, as Danial is unavailable for the final.  Great stuff from an outstanding leader.
Greg Daniel – Win 4&3
Martin Semmler – Win 5&3
Michael Lane – Win 6&5
Truman Addison – Win 3&2
David Slade – Win 4&2
Junior Handicap Pennant played Jubilee in the Semi-Final at Howlong and drew 2.5/2.5.
Unfortunately, this result wasn’t quite enough for our combined MDGA Junior side to make the final.  Congratulations to all participants.  Matchplay offers wonderful development opportunities for your golf and I am sure the experience will serve you well as you continue in the game.
Pennant is a strong and proud tradition at Thurgoona.  Show your support for our Division 2 team as they chase down more Pennant success for our club. Go Thurgoona!
Regards,
Michael Lane
