Updated Line Planting Local Rule
In some areas during the Line Planting process machinery used has pulled out a large piece of ground, much larger than 1 card length. If your ball comes to rest in one of these areas, or your stance is affected by these conditions, it shall be treated as GUR and players are entitled to take free relief within one club length no nearer the hole.
There is no relief for bare ground or other general areas where line planting has occurred. In those areas of the golf course apply a one card length preferred lie.
