Changes include removing penalties for various minor infractions and moves to speed up the pace of play. If confirmed, rule changes would come into effect on January 1, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>All members are to note that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">these are only proposed changes and in no way alter the current Rules of Golf<\/span>. \u00a0Golfers are reminded to continue to play under the existing Rules. \u00a0Should you have any queries please consult with pro shop staff or Golf Committee members. \u00a0If needed, copies of the current Rule Book are available from the pro shop.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks in advance for your cooperation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As you may know, golf&#8217;s ruling body, the R&amp;A, announced more than 50 proposed changes to the way the game is played.
