The semi finals are in the books, and what a week it was in WWC.<\/div>\n

Before I get into it \u2013 please note that the GPL website is now updated with the correct finals format for the remainder of the finals series.\u00a0 Details also attached, FYI.<\/div>\n

Back to the lead story \u2013 our season long ladder leaders, the Hosel Rockets 3.0, have been despatched in straight sets, losing their semi final to the plucky crew from Norfolk & Chance.\u00a0 The Hosels put up a good fight – with our sponsor Mark Tomich playing through injury, and some tough afternoon golf conditions \u2013 but it was in vain as they went down by a single, solitary, point to the Norfolkers.\u00a0 This format can be a challenge for a team heavily laden with very low markers, but the Hosel Rockets did it well for most of the year, falling at the final hurdles.<\/div>\n

The other semi final wasn\u2019t quite as close, although it still came down to the last team player out on the golf course.\u00a0 Needing a 36 point haul from Bicko in tough conditions, the Horace\u2019s came up a little short against Drawshank Redemptions.\u00a0 Bicko\u2019s team mates were slow out of the blocks and never caught up on the day, despite a fighting 36 from Lodgey.\u00a0 Drawshanks were consistent across the team and managed to total up a 105 to cover the 101 from Horace\u2019s.<\/div>\n

Horace\u2019s managed to pick up a double chance, though, and they will now face off against the Norfolk & Chance lads on 22 February for a place in the Grand Final against the Drawshanks the following week.\u00a0 The Norfolkers could be back to full strength, having got through last week despite being 1 short with Gary Davies away.\u00a0 The experienced campaigners from Horace\u2019s Heroes won\u2019t lie down, though, and I am sure it will be a ding-dong battle for a ticket to the big dance.<\/div>\n

Don\u2019t forget \u2013 Wardrobe World Cup Presentation Night will be Friday 13th March, including the Best & Fairest Medal count. Further details to follow.<\/div>\n

We have a week off this week, with a 4BBB event programmed for this Saturday.\u00a0 It\u2019s a good chance to regroup and prepare for the remaining rounds.\u00a0 Have fun with it guys.<\/div>\n
