The first round of the ladies Peter Crowe 4BBB Match Play Qualifier was held today. \u00a0Eight teams were playing for four spots in the Match Play portion of the event. Congratulations to the following teams which qualified for the Quarter-Finals of the Match Play to be contested on Sat 9th May (seeded position shown in brackets): (2)\u00a0Chris Quast & Lois Clarke- 41 points C\/B, (4) Wendy Phillips & Sue Mitchell- 41 pts, (6) Jan Manchester & Jenny Larkin- 39 pts C\/B, (8) Marg Jacob & Maz Clarke- 39 pts. \u00a0Seeds 1,3,5,7 will be filled from the top four teams in the Ladies Qualifying round to be held on Sat 18th April. \u00a0Any ladies that did not participate in today’s qualifier will be eligible to compete for one of the remaining four spaces on Sat 18th April.<\/p>\n
The Men’s Qualifier will also be held on Sat 18th April as a 4BBB Stableford event. \u00a0The maximum men’s handicap for the qualifiers will be 27 (players play off full handicaps for the day comp). \u00a0The top 16 teams which enter the qualifier will earn spots into the Match Play portion of the event. \u00a0Dates for the Match Play portion is:<\/p>\n
Sunday 3rd May- Men’s Round of 16<\/p>\n
Saturday 9th May- Men’s and Ladies Quarterfinals<\/p>\n
Saturday 16th May- Men’s and Ladies Semi-Finals<\/p>\n
Saturday 23rd May- Men’s and Ladies Finals<\/p>\n
Please note that all the Match Play rounds must be played on these dates (except in the case of unplayable course conditions). \u00a0Entry fee for the qualifier is $10pp payable prior to hitoff- all funds are directed to prizes. For the Match Play portion of the event, all players play off 3\/4 of their daily course handicap (0.5 rounded up), the low marker reverts to scratch and all other players receive the difference in strokes allocated based on the relevant Match Play Index (men’s or ladies). \u00a0Play is to be from the competition tees of the day (not the plates)- blue for men, red for ladies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
