<\/p>\nAnother year of the Beyond Blue Day – Kirkman Cup, and we have had a stellar result in terms of fundraising activity.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The day was wonderfully well supported by our members, with people getting into the spirit of the day and donning their best blue attire.<\/p>\n
Activities ranging from a putting competition, Long Drive & Straight Drive competitions, a big raffle, and a great auction were all really well supported.\u00a0 When combined with contributions from competition entry and golden hole fees, we were able to make a fantastic donation to Beyond Blue to the tune of $4,972.26 for the 2023 event.<\/p>\n
Beyond Blue provides information and support around mental health and suicide awareness and prevention, and their work helps a great many people.\u00a0 Many of our members have had their lives touched by suicide and mental health, and understand the value and importance of this wonderful organisation.\u00a0 As a club, we should be very proud of our contribution.<\/p>\n
The NEDGA Scratch Div 2 team were the winners of the 2023 Kirkman Cup, held in honour of the late Tannah Kirkman, a member of our club and pennant teams.<\/p>\n
Events like these do not happen without the help of wonderful volunteers.\u00a0 I would like to thank the following superstars for their assistance in making this event such a success:\u00a0 Danial Huggard, Veronica Lane, Mike Smith, Paul Lee, Daniel Lee, Martin Semmler, Kerrie & Stuart Paul, Denise Sellwood, Ruth Nugent, Kim Semmler and David Ley.\u00a0 My apologies if I have missed anyone.<\/p>\n
I would like to extend a big thank you to our raffle and event sponsors, too.\u00a0 Please support these local businesses and thank these members for their contribution:\u00a0 TCCR & LCC, Aramex, Hansen Concrete, Dymocks, Secur>Invest, Pakstat & Paul Lee, Lochie Semmler, TCCR Golf Committee, Daro Group, Drummond Golf, Jax Tyres, and BF Panels.\u00a0 Thank you to Golf NSW and Cade Webb, for the use of the launch monitor and net for the day – it contributed to a great atmosphere throughout the event.<\/p>\n
Winners of the novelty events, raffles and auctions are listed below.\u00a0 If you have uncollected prizes, they can be found in the Pro Shop.\u00a0 Congratulations to all winners.<\/p>\n
