{"id":8833,"date":"2023-06-28T21:37:47","date_gmt":"2023-06-28T11:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thurgoona.miclub.com.au\/cms\/?p=8833"},"modified":"2023-06-28T21:37:48","modified_gmt":"2023-06-28T11:37:48","slug":"premier-league-round-3-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thurgoona.miclub.com.au\/cms\/premier-league-round-3-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Premier League Round 3 Results"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p lang=\"en-AU\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7641 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/thurgoona.miclub.com.au\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/IMG_1920.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"428\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thurgoona.miclub.com.au\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/IMG_1920.png 428w, https:\/\/thurgoona.miclub.com.au\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/IMG_1920-300x133.png 300w, https:\/\/thurgoona.miclub.com.au\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/IMG_1920-68x30.png 68w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 428px) 100vw, 428px\" \/><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-AU\">Oh, how the mighty have fallen\u2026\u2026..\u00a0 Round 3 saw 2 of our 3 ladder leaders suffer their first defeat.\u00a0 Demonstrating the closeness of the competition this year, we also had a nail-biting draw.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-AU\">In Pool A we saw <strong>Grip n Sip<\/strong> roll over the <strong>Back 9 Bandits<\/strong> 103-96.\u00a0 <strong>Chronic Fatigue<\/strong> notched their first win over the <strong>Angry Aardvarks<\/strong>, 106-96, and the reigning premier <strong>Cockatoos<\/strong> were too good for the crew from <strong>Drawshank Redemption<\/strong> 106-86.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-AU\">Notable performances included a huge 41 points from Luke Anstee, who must surely be catching the eye of the handicapper based on recent form, and a stellar 38 from Fuzz Lyon.\u00a0 It seems I put the Kiss of Death on Will Nicholls last week, as he could only manage to eek out 19 points in his teams victory.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-AU\">In Pool B, round 2 ladder leaders <strong>Par Then Bar<\/strong> got steamrolled by the <strong>3 Non-Johns<\/strong>, 93-106.\u00a0 It seems a bit of a rev up was all that Justin Trudeau and his teammates needed.\u00a0 Questions were asked of the Par then Bar team, though, as they were chirpy before the match, but disappeared quickly after their loss.\u00a0 Perhaps a name change is in order\u2026 <strong><em>Par then Bus?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-AU\">In a fairly even competition across the Pool, only JT &#8211;
